Scrum Master
LearnTastic is seeking an experienced, results-driven Scrum Master / Agile Delivery Lead to join our growing team. This role is responsible for guiding Agile teams, facilitating effective delivery practices, removing impediments, and supporting continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience as a Scrum Master, with a solid understanding of Scrum values, principles, and practices. Candidates with strong Kanban and Agile delivery experience will also be considered, particularly those with experience coaching teams, managing workflow, and driving continuous improvement.
Working closely with Product Owners, Engineering teams, Account Managers, and internal stakeholders, the Scrum Master / Agile Delivery Lead will help ensure effective planning, collaboration, transparency, and successful delivery.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as a servant leader and Agile coach, supporting teams in applying Scrum, Kanban, and Agile principles.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement.
- Support Kanban teams with workflow management, prioritization, reviews, and continuous improvement.
- Coach and mentor development teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Agile practices and ways of working.
- Help teams become self-organizing, accountable, collaborative, and high-performing.
- Identify and remove impediments, blockers, risks, and dependencies impacting delivery.
- Facilitate effective decision-making, collaboration, and conflict resolution.
- Partner with Product Owners on backlog management, prioritization, refinement, and delivery planning.
- Monitor team progress and performance using relevant Agile metrics such as velocity, cycle time, throughput, and predictability.
- Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives, Agile experiments, and process improvements.
- Support product demonstrations, testing activities, and other delivery-related events.
- Provide stakeholders with clear updates on progress, risks, dependencies, and delivery performance.
- Maintain accurate team and project information in tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, Agile Delivery Lead, or similar role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Scrum and a solid understanding of Agile principles and practices.
- Strong working knowledge of Scrum and/or Kanban.
- Proven experience coaching and mentoring cross-functional, self-organizing teams.
- Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies, workshops, retrospectives, and stakeholder meetings.
- Demonstrated ability to remove impediments and manage risks, blockers, and dependencies.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to influence and coach without relying on formal authority.
- Strong organizational skills, accountability, and commitment to delivery.
- Experience working with remote or distributed teams is preferred.
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar Agile tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) through Scrum Alliance or equivalent Scrum certification such as PSM.
- SAFe certification or experience in a scaled Agile environment.
- Strong Kanban experience, including flow management, WIP limits, cycle time, and throughput.
- Experience working with both Scrum and Kanban teams.
- Experience coaching Product Owners, stakeholders, and leadership.
- Experience in software development, technology, SaaS, or product organizations.
