Job Description
We are seeking a skilled WordPress Developer with strong expertise in custom development and a preference for working directly with code rather than relying heavily on plugins. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and the WordPress Template Hierarchy, along with experience using Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) to build flexible, scalable, and maintainable websites. This role involves building and optimizing custom themes, integrating designs, and ensuring high-performance, responsive, and secure WordPress solutions.

Requirements

  • Experience: 1–1.5 years in professional WordPress development (custom theme & functionality work).
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
  • Deep understanding of WordPress core, template hierarchy, and custom theme development.
  • Proficient with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) for building flexible content structures.
  • Ability to work with PHP, basic JavaScript/jQuery, and WordPress hooks/filters.
  • Ability to optimize site performance, including Core Web Vitals improvements.
  • Approach: Minimal reliance on plugins — preference for writing custom code for functionality.
  • Nice to Have:
  • Experience with custom post types, taxonomies, and REST API integrations.
  • Understanding of SEO best practices and accessibility standards.
