Job Summary


We’re seeking an experienced Senior Laravel Developer with exceptional communication and leadership skills to guide our backend development efforts. The ideal candidate will bring deep Laravel and PHP expertise, a proactive approach to collaboration, and the ability to mentor and coordinate a small team of developers. This role combines hands-on technical development with team leadership, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, securely, and to a high standard.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a small team of Laravel developers, fostering professional growth and teamwork.
     
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure backend solutions using Laravel.
     
  • Collaborate closely with front-end developers, designers, and product managers to define project goals and deliver impactful web applications.
     
  • Conduct code reviews, maintain high coding standards, and champion best practices in development.
     
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure clarity in project requirements, progress, and challenges.
     
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
     
  • Oversee project timelines, ensuring deliverables are completed on schedule and aligned with business objectives.
     
  • Maintain thorough technical documentation and ensure consistency across development projects.
     

Required Skills & Qualifications

 
  • 5+ years of professional experience in PHP development, with 3+ years focused on Laravel.
     
  • Proven experience in a senior or lead role, managing or mentoring other developers.
     
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
     
  • Strong understanding of MVC architecture, RESTful API design, and modern software development practices.
     
  • Proficiency with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
     
  • Experience with Git, version control workflows, and collaborative development processes.
     
  • Working knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks).
     
  • Solid analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
     


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
     
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
     
  • Demonstrated ability to manage priorities, provide feedback, and inspire others in a dynamic environment.
