Research & Data Analyst Lead
 

We are looking for a Research & Data Analyst Lead to own end-to-end research, data analysis, and insight generation across business, product, marketing, and strategy initiatives.

This role goes beyond dashboards. You will be responsible for turning complex data into clear, decision-ready insights, supporting leadership with analysis that drives growth, efficiency, and strategic clarity.

Responsibilities:

Data Analysis & Insights (Core Ownership)

  • Analyze large and complex datasets across:
    • Business performance
    • Marketing funnels
    • Revenue, margin, and unit economics
    • Customer behavior and conversion
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities
  • Translate data into clear narratives and recommendations for leadership

Research & Market Intelligence

  • Conduct structured research on:
    • Markets and competitors
    • Industry benchmarks
    • Customer segments and behavior
  • Support strategic initiatives such as:
    • Market entry
    • Pricing and packaging
    • M&A and investment research
  • Validate assumptions using data and external signals

Reporting & Decision Support

  • Build and maintain:
    • Executive dashboards
    • Weekly / monthly performance reports
    • Deep-dive analysis for leadership and functional teams
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and relevance
  • Highlight risks and early warning signals, not just outcomes

Experimentation & Performance Measurement

  • Support A/B testing and experimentation analysis
  • Define success metrics and evaluation frameworks
  • Measure impact of:
    • UX changes
    • Marketing campaigns
    • Product initiatives
  • Share learnings and recommendations based on results

Data Governance & Process Excellence

  • Define standards for:
    • Data definitions
    • Reporting logic
    • Documentation
  • Ensure a single source of truth across teams
  • Improve data accessibility and usability for stakeholders

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Act as a thought partner to:
    • Product
    • Marketing
    • Finance
    • Operations
  • Mentor junior analysts where applicable
  • Influence decision-making through clarity and credibility, not hierarchy

  • Leadership decisions clearly supported by data
  • Faster insight generation and reduced ambiguity

Required Experience & Qualifications

Experience:

  • 6–10+ years in data analysis, research, or analytics roles
  • Experience working with:
    • Business and performance data
    • Marketing and funnel analytics
    • Financial or operational metrics
  • Proven ability to influence decisions using data

Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in:
    • SQL
    • Excel / Google Sheets
    • BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
  • Experience with experimentation analysis and A/B testing
  • Comfort working with imperfect or incomplete data

Analytical & Communication Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking
  • Ability to simplify complex analysis into clear insights
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Executive-ready presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in SaaS, EdTech, marketplaces, or digital platforms
  • Exposure to M&A, investment, or strategic research
  • Background in statistics, economics, engineering, or data science

This is a remote opportunity.
(US-focused preferred; time-zone flexibility a plus)
